Surprise!!! Together for Christmas =)
Originally, Tucker had been put on guard for Christmas Eve and Christmas...which was really bumming me out, especially since Christmas is such a special time for us. We were so blessed that they allowed him to spend Christmas Eve night and Christmas morning with me at our house!!! (Which I might add he has not been to for more than 15 min bascially since the beginning of the month when he started guard duty.)
So what did we do to celebrate?? Well....4 years ago, we went on our first date on Christmas Eve to an asian restaurant and then watched a movie. So of course, we went to an asian restaurant then to a movie!!!! haha. It's our thing =P
It's also been my tradition to go see Christmas lights...so we did that as well.
After that, we headed home and then set up beds by the Christmas tree to sleep.
Christmas day, we took our puppies for a walk and just enjoyed being with each other.
It was perfect.
Happy Birthday Jesus!!! And thank you for my life<3

Lord bless these heroes, who gave their lives...
--So far there have been about 1,300 U.S. deaths in Afghanistan related to the 9-year-old war there prompted by the 9/11 terror attacks.
I had been semi-talking to a girl on facebook, in one of the marine wives groups I've joined. I found out her husband had passed while in Afghanistan a couple days ago. When I heard the news, to say the least, my heart was sickened. She is only a couple days younger than me, which really hits me hard, trying to relate to what she must be feeling right now.
Tonight I light a candle, to honor the men and women who gave their lives for my freedom, and for HOPE to shine upon their loved ones. I am EXTREMELY blessed to have my husband back home safe and sound for the holidays. Some people don't get that this year...and my heart reaches out to them.
Dear Lord, bless the families and friends of fallen soldiers, let them know that their loved ones are looking down on them now, acting as guardian angels; please guide them to healing, and give them refreshed, stronger spirits. Amen.
